How to get here

Almost all roads lead to Vienna. Travelling to the windtunnel is easy and comfortable! Here are all the directions:

By Airplane (Airport: Vienna-Schwechat & Bratislava)

Take the train (Schnellbahn) S7 directly to Praterstern (duration 27 minutes). There is really no need to rent a car, since this ride is super

quick. It brings you directly to the windtunnel and you save a lot of money on parking. If you are planning to arrive at the airport of Bratislava, please be aware that you need to schedule around 2 hours for your journey to Vienna. Please check the time table of the ÖBB to ensure that you will make it on time (www.oebb.at).

By Public Transportation

Underground line 1: Station Prater (Stephansplatz <-> Prater | duration 10 min.)

Underground line 2: Station Messe-Prater (Station <->Windtunnel | duration: 2 min.)

Trains (Schnellbahnen) from/to Vienna-Central Station, Airport, Belvedere Castle, Vienna-Meidling, Wiener Neustadt, Floridsdorf etc.:

S1, S2, S3, S7: Station Praterstern

By Car

For getting to the windtunnel by car you need to take the A23 (Südosttangente-highway) or the A22 (Donauufer-highway). Please be

aware that while driving on an Austrian highway/Autobahn you are obliged to have a `Autobahn-vignette/sticker´ in advance in order to

demonstrate that you have paid the obliged highway toll before entering an Autobahn.

Parking garage (Prater) - You can park your car nearby the wind tunnel (check parking-zone regulations below), within the Prater parking garage.

Ausstellungsstraße (0-24h, under video surveillance) or the Prater parking spot outside-Waldsteingartenstraße (chargeable).

Short-term parking zones in Vienna: In many districts of Vienna (1-9, 12,14,15,16, 17 & 20) there are areawide short-term parking zones. The area around the Prater falls under those zone-regulations. Please notice the declared regulations in terms of the weekdays and your particular parking time period. In general, you can purchase parking tickets at agencies of the Wiener Linien, gas stations, tobacconists or via SMS under www.handyparken.at.
